Matthew and Natalie

This wedding at Running Fox Farm in Chestertown, Maryland is not only a gorgeous, homespun affair, but brings back all sorts of lovely memories of my time spent in Baltimore, where I got my Bachelor's degree. I can tell you one thing, though-those years weren't nearly as beautiful as this celebration!

This wedding brought the bride and groom's families together in a magical way: the groom's father, a pastor, married the couple. The bride's sister-in-law's mother (talk about a mouthful!) was Natalie's second-in-command when it came to wedding planning and design. Her friend and bridesmaid baked their croquembouche wedding cake, and another baked the rest of the magnificent dessert table. The couple recruited a buddy who's an electrician strung all the lights and chandeliers at Running Fox Farms. Another pair of friends designed the invitations, and perhaps best of all, the bride designed her wedding gown with the help of Suzanne Reams.

The understated blooms were designed by Severna Park Florist, Dawn, and the couple had Adam Barnes on hand to capture each gorgeous moment.

While I love click, click, clicking to add fabulous designers and ingenious stationers to a wedding write-up, something about this beautiful, handcrafted wedding about melts my heart-don't you agree?
